Because the world of retail involves various people, products and processes, there are many things that this vibrant industry has to offer. When you pursue the Ex. Dip. RBMT, you will undergo a field practice module that’s provided and supervised by a renowed retail chain. This concept is called the On-Job Education and it allows you to apply what you’ve learnt in real-life to your academic learning and vice-versa.
More importantly, it teaches you the necessary interpersonal and problem-solving skills because you’ll be dealing with real customers almost on a daily basis. Apart from that, you’ll have the upper hand of being able to physically learn the ropes and even build your future network-things that no theoretical lesson can ever offer.
This field practice module is then supported by useful academic work and lectures, which is conducted by qualified and experienced lecturers from UTM and even the industry. All classes will be held at the UTM International Campus in Kuala Lumpur.
Criteria of the Candidate:
1. Category A: SPM/STPM/Certificate or equivalent
Category B: Diploma/Degree or equivalent
2. Age between 20~28
3. Confidence, ambitious and highly motivated
4. Pleasant personality
5. Able to converse fluently in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Chinese is an added advantage though not necessary)
